Remote Start - Python 4203P

I have recently bought a 2012 CX9 GT AWD. I had the dealer instal an OEM remote start as they didn't have cars with factory ones available.
The dealer put in Python 4203P. Now I have 3 issues with it:
1. Sometimes the engine won't start at the first attempt. It usually does the second time around (automatically).
2. My original key fob will not open the door once the engine has been started using the python transmitter. The only way to open the door is using the python remote.
3. Once in the car even after i turn ignition on and press on the brake pedal, the red KEY light won't go out as if the original key fob was not detected.

My expectation would be that my original key should always be operational and detected once the ignition is turned on.
I'm not sure if Python 4203P can't be programmed to do that or the dealer didn't install it properly.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Luke

I would agree that something is not right with the install. You shouldn't have to sacrifice functions to have a remote start. If it were me, I'd take it back and make them correct it or put in an OEM unit. Did they charge you for OEM because I found the Python for $120.00 online. maybe they pocketed the difference?

Actually I didn't pay anything extra for the remote start. I wanted a car with a factory installed remote start. They didn't have it so they agreed to install an after-market device at no charge. As a matter of fact this one is a second one they installed. The first one was a Pursuit model. It worked OK with the original key but it would unlock the door while starting up the engine. The doors would lock after 10 sec or so but I didn't like that. I asked them to reprogram it. Instead they put in the Python one. Now this one has all sorts of other issues.
I'm not sure if they just don't know how to properly program those remote starters or the cheaper devices they use simply cannot be programmed to work properly with CX9.
