Remote for Overhead DVD Player

I lost the remote for the DVD player and it's useless w/o the remote. I called the dealer and they're charging ~$200 for a replacement remote!

Does anyone know an alternative place to get a replacement remote for less?

How about finding out who makes the unit and call them directly?

Otherwise, you could buy one of those programmable remotes, and ask the dealer if you can borrow one of the remotes from another CX-9 on the lot and program your remote with it.

Thanks for the part #... While the mazdapartsonline.com link only brought up a "website coming soon" note, I did a search on the part # and found this website http://www.trademotion.com/partloca...&siteid=214264&categoryID=78674&subcat1=78741 You can find the remote & the headphones on this page. I actually wanted 2 additional headphones, and found them here for $35 each. Another site I went to wanted $150 each - what a rip off!!!

I didn't get the remote, but I did get the headphones. And they work just fine... Much better price than what they charge you at Mazda...

This is the kind of pricing that gives the Dealer and OEM's a bad name...when someone is down, they know they can get a piece of you. You should post that website of the 10X's lower price to Mazda so they can see it...maybe they will be reasonable and come down to earth.

BTW, does anyone know of an option for the keyless [flat] 09 GS ? They gave me two and said "don't loose them, they cost $400.00+" Besides the chip and Mazda emblem, what a rip !

If there is something special I am not aware, pls correct me.

I just ordered one, so I will find out. A remote can't cost more than 24 dollars, so maybe this will work. Considering that no other remote will work with the RSES (unless you used a learning remote and preprogrammed it), it also stands to reason that a dealer could charge 200 for a remote. Without the remote, the unit is nearly useless.

Hi there, can anybody confirm if this remote works with the BOSE RSES? I'm in need of one too. Found an option in amazon that's $48 but it is programmed one and would prefer a Mazda original. Thanks in advance for any confirmation.
