The first ones started rolling off the lots in California during the last week of November, 2002. The first batch to hit Texas was on December 8th, where I picked mine up that evening in El Paso (dirty and not test-driven by any dealer employees) (evil).

This thread is to remind you to buy your car a b-day gift! Take it out for a nice drive. Tell it you care. Maybe you forgot in the past, but come on now, this is the big O-5.

My early presents so far are a set of lightweight pulleys + air diversion panel courtesy of Brach, with new Gates accessory belts. Then next month on the 8th she gets 5 fresh coats of Zaino, and if the weather is good a drive to the mountains or valley for a photoshoot.

What are your plans my fellow nubian and spicy lovers?

I just recieved some sexy gifts for mine! The Exedy Stage 1 clutch and Fidanza lightened flywheel. Can't wait to get them in. Of course the LSD will be getting a nice little weld on it also. Wonder what's in store in another 5 years!

Yeah seriously. I love the spicy's. Of course I love the black one I have now, but man I think it would be pretty cool to have one of each of the originals. Then you can have two daily drivers with pig rich tunes and a clunk!

I don't understand why all these cars were produced together and seen together and they released both 03 and 03.5 models. Why did they wait to send them out seperately?

It's just strange how they came up with different designs for both yet started selling one first and keep the rest for later. I wonder if they wanted to see how well they would start selling. How long after the 03 did they release the 03.5?

Sounds about right... would have been earlier without the hold up on the front lips and spoilers.

In the beginning, the 03's were actually supposed to get the 03.5 lip and spoiler. After the first couple delays, Mazda supposedly slapped the MP3 spoiler on the 03's and left the lips off to get them out before the end of the year.
