I don't think we have electric doors on the 5 here in the US.

Nope. No electric doors in NA...AFAIK...

I don't know why they'd report about the elctric doors in a Boston nesw station. Unless it includes standard sliding door latches. Like the ones that freeze on mine.(pissed)

Nope we don't but they do in other parts of the world and there are people from those places that post here.

Though electric doors would be nice, once there isn't a recall.

Me neither, but well have to wait for more information.

Freezing Latches EH

The only solution is the replacement using the latches from a GT model. I have it on mine and have NEVER had a freeze up since. Only diff is that you will not have a hook up for the electric latch motor on that hindge.

BTW the quick fix was packing the latch with grease but that did not work.
