Rear wiper..

Hey all,
I want to remove my rear wiper to have a cleaner look in the back.I dont use it anyways.Has anyone done this on there 3 yet?Im wondering if there is a cap or something to cover the hole I can buy.I could just leave the wiper motor thing sticking out but I would rather not.Any ideas?

Look into cheaper models offered. Maybe Japanese or Canadian Markets come like this. In the US i think they all have wipers so no Mazda parts to cap it off I guess. Maybe measure up a Honda Civic cap and see if it will fit the 3's hole.

Thanks for the advise.I ended up going to home depot and buying a hole cover that you would use to cover a hole on your kitchen sink.Its almost a perfect fit.I painted it with my touch up paint and added a extra rubber washer.It looks and works great but there are brush marks from the paint so I may have to get some spray paint and do it again,It only cost about $1.50 for another cover thing.Ill take some pictures after I wash the car and the rain stops.
oh and I used the plastic hole cover that have a big plastic nut on it and not the metal ones that you bend the tabs over with.This fits tight.

Yeah, post a pic. Because mine was ripped off in a car wash this weekend. I live in Vegas and would rarely use it and if it looked right I would rather not spend the $100 to get a new one.

i like the whole removing the wiper idea. it doesn't work properly after a few times anyways it starts to leave streaks

Here you go.I still need to re-paint a new one and put it on but you can get a idea of what it looks like.It fits great and cost under $3 if you have the paint already.

wow man thats kinda cool id say that has a creative touch to it not bad pics are a lil blurry but atleast we get the idea dont know if i would do being i live in the NE the winters here arent that forgiving....

Looks ok but I like my rear wiper. Nice job though. I wanted one of the fuel doors, but now that I see it, it sticks out to much. I like how they look when they are color matched and the rivets are left silver.

I know what you mean about the gas cap.I didnt want it but it was on the car when I got it.I never thought about color matching it.I may have to go and see what my local paint shop has to say.That would look much better if it was blackMica.

When i had my SVT Focus i replaced the ugly, splindly rear wiper with a smooth, covered, european focus wiper. Which is exactly the same model the Mazda3 has.

Well, I wont have to be doing this. The dealer ****** up today and put a rear wiper on my window after doing the tint, hahaha, so I lucked out.

they come stock with a plug onm the firewall that fit in there perfectly
