i'm putting new struts on my car today and need to figure out how to get the rear deck off to get to the top of the rear struts! any help would be great! i looked around the how-to section but was unable to find anything.

Thanks for the help

pop the tabs off..
lift up... and pull towards the front of the car.

You'll need a 17mm wrench for the seatbelt harnesses..
EXTEND THE SEATBELTS AND DUCK TAPE THEM SO THEY WONT WIND BACK UP or else you'll have to buy some new seat belt assemblies.

I'll be glad to help with any other Q's.

Thanks for the tip, my 2001 was a fleet rental in a previous life (It has been so damn reliable, it must be grateful I'm looking after it now). There is God-knows-what melted down into one of the rear speaker grills and I want to clean things up. After a quick look, it appears I need to pull the rear deck to get at it. Am I wrong?

You are correct.
Once you take off the rear deck, you'll have access to the speakers.
