Realistically, what would you replace your MS3 with?

The lack of telescoping wheel and tight bolsters unfortunately made the Evo a no-no for me (big guy here). The new WRX is fine (without a sunroof), but leaves less space for the person sitting behind me. An STi would be nice, but the difference in price does not reflect the difference in performance. Other cars are either too soft and boring, or lack doors/utility as a daily driver. So I guess I am sticking with the MS3 for a while.

larf. Honestly, I can't think of a single car that's $5k, $10k, or even $15k more than the MS3 that I'd swap it for. First off, it would absolutely need to be a 5-door wagon for family/hauling duty, then it would need to be quick and luxurious enough to get the juices flowing. And I don't like the STi, so really I'm looking at Audi's avant line.

This is why I wish they made an MS6 wagon. How much do V70R wagons go for nowadays anyway?

My Choice?

If I had cash, a FD RX7. If I had to finance, a 370Z. In reality, when I do pay off the speed3 I'll probably keep it as a DD and save up to buy that FD. Those things just do it for me.... twin turbo rotary, light weight, and a sweet looking wrapper.

My "dream" project car is a 240z with an RB26.

I love those cars too, but why limit yourself? Did you know that a smallblock fits nicely against the firewall, and when tucked back like that, actually improves the weight distribution of the car? A modded V8 in a 240Z?
In the immortal words of Brian Wilson,
"If she had a set of wings,
man I know she could fly."

For $5,000 more than the Speed3? I`d find a cherry used 2006 Lotus Elise. But I can drive what I want because we take the wife`s truck whenever there is more than just me.

...and the last one, but most unlikely, a Dahlback Racing Audi Sport Quattro

like many, I wouldn't get anything else within a 5-10k price range. I test drove the Ralliart and wasn't impressed at all... besides, it only comes in automatic trim with the sports shifter thingy... I'll pass... if in price range, I'd get a 97 Supra.

lol fat chance

WRX or a GTI. I need a hatch.

I drove VW for nearly 15 years prior to buying my Speed 3, and I still find myself checking them out all the time.
