Real HID

Yeah i read a post in that thread looky.. it was one guys opinion. If you go to his site and look at all the paypal feedbacks he has over 4000 successful transactions i think, and he wouldnt have that if it werent for happy customers. Do a search in yahoo about misterjung and see what you come up with. His ballasts are by far the best i have seen, my girlfriends are better than mine simply because they have machined aluminum brackets on them and mine do not, they allow for better/easier mounting. His harnesses are very excellent in quality and so far what I can tell about his kit from the one that i bought, it is very good, all ballasts and bulbs have a serial on them and when I bought her kit it came with a free 18 month warranty, thats better than my 90 day warranty on my ballasts only. His kit uses the best ballasts made. Do a search on the internet and everyone suggests using true Hella ballasts as they are the number one ballasts used in OEM. The bulbs in oe are phillips/osram. The ballasts may be labeled as panasonic or hella, as hella makes them for panansonic. As far as my opinion goes these kits are of great quality and even if the bulbs arent phillips/osram, and made in another country, such as korea, whats the big deal? ALot of stuff we use/buy is made in different countries, hell our cars are made in japan. Each person is entitled to their own opinion and different people have different views, but I say great kit. great warranty, great price so why not?

Well said.
Time to save up my money for that in the future then..
Can you tell me how paypal works? I've never bought anything off the net before.

paypal is so widely used because of its ease of use. They keep all your information confidential and it is the number one payment on ebay, if not on the internet. All you do is go to their site and enter in your information, such as your address, and how you want to pay, be it credit card, debit card, or bank account. The only deal with paypal is that it verifies everything, if you use a credit card the name and billing address must match. Thats how they verify that it is you doing the transaction. Its really not that difficult. But the thing about the bank account is you have to register put it in the bank account info and they will make like 2 small deposits and when I mean small its like 2 cents american dollars. you can go/call/or wait on your next billing statement from your bank to get the amount of the deposits, go back to their site and put in the amounts and then you are a verified user.
I personally use a credit/debit card, and use my bank account as a backup source, which they do require. Either you have to have 2 credit/debit cards, or a card and a bank account. Its really easy. Just go to paypal.com and register. I dont even get BS mail from them or anything. Its totally free for you, unless you are on ebay and the seller requests that you pay their ebay fees. they are the ones incurring all the costs. Plus I think that paypal has a fraud protection program. Just go check it out. very simple.

i'd like to see some pics of the light on walls. and not like the ones where the car is like 1 foot from the wall. maybe like a 10-20 feet pic. That way we can see the cut off points and stuff.

HIDs on a WRX

Thought I'd chime in. I don't own a MP3, but my buddy does. Here is a Philips HID 4300K kit in my Prodrive UK300 lights. They have Hella Projectors in the low beam slot. My high beams are on the inside slot and they turn on independently with the HID's. Very nice light output...not blue at all on the road. Very white --- the blue color you see is because of the projector lense emitting different colors through the lense. Keep in mind that all HID kits on BMW's, Mercedes, Audi's, Lexus, Infiniti's, new Maximas, new Cadillacs, S2000's and etc. all use 4300K HID kits. Most of them use Philips Ballasts and some use Philips bulbs and some use Osram bulbs. In the Bimmers, Audis, S2000's, some Mercedes, and S2000's you see the purple/blue hue due to the projector lenses being cut a certain way. The actual light output on the road is whitish/yellow (more usuable...especially in inclement weather). If you ever get a chance to, you will notice that when you get up close to these vehcles, the light that comes out of the housings are pretty much white with a hint of yellow. So like some have said on here. If you want more looks, go for the higher K rating kits, but if you want more usable light and the look of the cars you see on the road, go with the 4300K kits...maybe even the 5000K kits.

I am using Hella Ballasts off a 2001 A6 and Philips Ultinon D2R bulbs 4300k or 4100k depends on who you ask.

P5_projector - nice pics and lights. I like the conversion to projectors. There is just no comparison from reflector housings with projector housings. I think you may be misinformed on the term "Ultinon." Philips Ultinon Bulbs are only in the 6000K rated bulbs. And even at that, the Ultinon bulbs are only 5800K, but Philips wanted to sell them as 6000K Ultinon bulbs to outbrag their competitor Osram's 5800k bulbs. Philips 4100K bulb sell as 4300K since many tests show them to be closer to 4300K than 4100K.

I dont think he is using projectors, correct me if im wrong. he is just illustrating the cutoff with the factory headlights, i beleive. He is using the same ballasts as i, Hella. Just different bulbs. I think I am about to order some lower k bulbs just to experiment with. If i do anytime soon I will post pics. And projector if you are using projectors then post some more pics.

MikeBlueP5 - I misread it. He's just using the ballasts from the A6 projectors. Thanks for pointing it out :)

p5_projector...
those HIDs look really good.....It's funny i've never seen you around Toronto before... I've seen many Yellow P5's but never yours with HID....looking good (thumb)

I decided to hold off on the projectors too much work with the A6 projectors. Best bet with projectors is either S4 projectors or Hella 90mm projectors which are worth every penny. I used my stock housing and it is a reflector based system.
Limited: I am actually in Richmond Hill so maybe thats why, i usually dont go farther south then wilson ave.

Guys, whatever you read or decide on, just know one thing. Anything over 6000K causes much more scattering and your useable light output decreases significantly. You should not need to go above that to get the color you are looking for. 4100-4500K should give you bright white. 5000-5500K will be slight blue and 6000K would be slight purple. Anything above that would be excessive. I do not know where Jung or some other vendors get their temperature ratings from or if they make their own up... Ive seen some retailers market their Catz 4500K kits as 6700K.. :wtf:

As far as Mr. Jung goes, it is not just one person. It is one thing to offer a warranty and another to SERVE it. Also, he does NOT use Philips or a OE capsule. He uses a generic one which has a glued adapter base.

"Still no reply yet via email or phone. I think it's time to take some legal action or something because it's just wrong. It's not the point whether you pay 350 or 400 or 500 for the item. You are suppose to get something that works and if it does not work, that's what a warranty is for. For those who don't care, just know for every group buy, there is someone who may get ripped off and he's just getting away with it. "

"Sorry for the questions but unforunately the korean made bulbs on my misterjung hid kit crapped out on me so I want to make sure I will be receiving real Philips Bulbs."

"so, the people who have gotten the misterjung.com kit, are you happy with it? His service is horrible.........he needs to take business 101! He would sell so many more kits if he would just take the time out to respond to a few emails..........I've been thinking of ordering his kit, but now I'm not so sure, what do the guys who have it think?"

"The first 3 weeks were fine but until recently the driver side bulb will start to flicker and then turn to a white/yellow color while the passenger side is the white/blue normal color. "

"uh oh thats what happened with my 2000 3.2TL bulb before it gave out. I had to order a new set of bulbs... of course they should run for alot more than only 3 weeks..."

liteswap - I concur. That's why I went with the 4100/4300K kit from Philips. Philips ballasts and Philips bulbs.
