What other mods do you have? You're not gonna be ripping on too many LS1s with stock internals. Sounds like you need to build a motor

Transams eh?...............well i can say from personal experience that you CAN race transams but not off the line. try freeway racing at 130+mph. that s*** is fun as hell!!!! i remember on thanksgiving last year my family was goin to sugarland in like 3 different cars (too many people) I got there 20min before everyone (coming from pearland) cuz i was blazin at 120-135 with a firebird and a camero. The best part about freeway racing with our cars is the exchanges......they have to slow down........our suspension holds tight.

your nowhere near that level yet man.......build your bottom end, get an EMS......then up da boost.

You are missing your most important mod... exhaust.

Get a 2.5 inch midpipe and catback section custom made. Getting rid of the two cats and resonator will make a very large difference at 9psi. If you don't want the added sound, get an Apex downpipe the replaces just the "J" pipe and midpipe. It gets rid of the cats, but keeps the stock catback (with resonator) section. You car sounds exactly like stock and nice gains as well.

You should also upgrade your intercooler. Either with a better side mount since you allready spent the money on hardpipes, or sell you hardpipes and get a front mount. Again, at 9psi there a pretty nice difference with this mod.

But even with those mods (I have them) at 9 psi your car will still only be "quick". I can run respectably with a lot of cars, but not any of the really big boys. For that you need to upgrade your internals and get some ems.

You sure that wasn't a Camero RS. I have a hard time believing an MSP at stock psi and just a drop in filter getting around 160WHP is going to hang with a Camero putting down around 100 more WHP.
