re:help....can anyone go over 100mph...?

newayz, yea ive never had a problem getting mine up to 100 i think fastest i hit though was 110 cuz not enough room and or, i cant afford to go to jail at this point in my life

132mph is the highest if gotten in the p5.. mp3 ecu, CAI, MSP axle back, very low on skunk2s..120 comes easy, once in 5th gear, it took forever... some days she dosnt want to break 120...

Hey PhilMa,

I too have a 2002 Auto P5. My car in stock form could barely get to 100 MPH, and that was on a good day with about a 3 mile long straight away. The car would free strong up to about 85 MPH then slow down around 92-94 MPH. The last 6-8 miles per hour up to 100 MPH would take for ever. The car also would go into overdrive gear around 98 miles per hour then just about stop accelerating. I have since added an Injen CAI, OBX Header, Wangers Catless Mid-Pipe, Racing Beat CatBack Exhaust, Wangers Cams. The car still feels like it hits a wall when it shifts into Overdrive but it does continue to accelerate but very slowly. To get around this little problem I just turn off the overdrive and let the car rev. almost to the rev. limiter. (my car hits rev. limiter around 7200 rpm) With that all said I have hit 116 MPH in 3rd just before the rev. limiter then shifted in 4th (Overdrive) and got to 120 MPH.

some of the sorthappened to me! i only got intake but its a nice clean air intake, i got to 115 and with almost as it seemed impossible got to 118 but that was my limit of Hwy, also ur gas gauge slowly drops at those RPM (first) NOT!

I got to 110 no problem with just a CAI. Now that I have headers it's even easier. I swear, because of the short 5th gear I can accelerate from 70-90 in just a couple seconds. Going past that doesn't take much longer.

I have yet to see the top speed, and I don't really want to. I got up to 125 in a few different cars when I was under 18, but I won't try it now. It's too easy to lose control or come up on someone from behind that doesn't see you and get sued.

I am very bad, but I had to, my P5 has the hood all bangged up and it dosen't even lock completly. I got it to 110(no problem :) ) the only thing that got me to slow down was the hood vibrating to much. (boom07)

wait. but i need to post first.

haha +1

100 mph on public roads is ******* stupid no matter how little traffic there is.

Stephen Wayne from WCCC has a day job as a crash site investigator for an insurance company, and he said that anytime you go over 80mph, you have enough momentum to roll no matter how good you think you can control the car.

personally, i'd rather tune for acceleration rather than top end.
