sure is. . . . .thats why im still waiting on my hotbodies lighting to come in the mail. . ..man i wish i had the money to drop on an inferno (and the fact that they still come in kits (boo manufacturers to selling premade models)

but yea ive always wanted a 1/8th buggy since i was a little kid

im not sure... depends on how the pvc is on the asphalt... if it creates pvs dust everywhere then maybe they will have a problem since the dust will make the track more slick for them...

u can always test run it...

Is certain kind of Nitro Fuels better than others? I.E. I bought Trinity Nitro fuel for like 1 gallon $15.00 (cost) and now I need to buy some more... but don't know if brand name really makes a difference? This Nitro Fuel barely lasted me a month so If I buy 2 gallons would that be bad to store it in my house? Nitro Fuel doesn't god bad right?

Haha the pvc is fine i think. The fuel that my exhaust spits out would make it more slick than anything.

fuel definietly makes a difference...

theres a bunch of people out there selling garage blends which are blends that people are making and selling on their own. theres one a couple here in texas and one out of florida. most people around here tend to use those garage blends because they seem to be more consistant than the larger fuel manufacturers.

id just keep an eye out at the track and see what the loca fast guys are running.. thats is a definite sign of which fuel to consider running to more than likely they have tried more than a few brands...

How much does a gallon of gas usually cost?

I used to race a GS Storm Pro with the Ofna/Picco Comp 0-1 .21. That 1/8 scale was AWESOME!!! I paid close to $400 just for the engine and ended up trading in the car w/everything, radio, box starter...EVERYTHING!!! for a $400 helicopter kit w/nothing. :D

i get 20% odonell from a LHS for 18 a gallon. . .it's the cheapest ive ever seen it anywhere. . .cause the other local shops carry that crap for 30. . . .but i wanna learn how to make some home brew

making home brew is very tricky.... and u have to buy the ingredients by like the 50gallon drum and there are at least 3 different ones u need...

so its not as easy as it sounds... plus the crap is extremely flammable... not sure u wanna store that in your garage.... hehe

hmm. . . .. .maybe ill use the university facilities to make it. . .lol
yea ive been reading up on it the last couple days on the rcuniverse forums and you buy the nitro in like 5 gallon drums from the drag racing shops and methanol too. . .then you just buy some klotz at the motorcycle shop. . .it seems doable. . inital startup cost is going to be a b****

actually portioning and mixing isnt that hard as i am pretty good at chemistry and understand that crap and my roomate is an actualy chem major who can tell me the structure of all that stuff off the top of his head and just tell me all about that that. . . ..

or im back to spenidng 20 bux every couple weeks for a habit. . .yea

just make sure u get the mixtures right or else u can ruin ur motor by trying to find the right mixture... ruin a 300 engine by trying to save $20 on fuel... hehe

not good.

good luck, keep me informed. im just way too lazy to mix it myself, i just buy it and call it a day. hehe

really the only thing that matters for teh engine is the oil content. . .cause that's where peopel screw things up. . . . .as long as you got enough oil in your fuel you should be alright. . cusee you can counteract variability of nitro percentage by playing with the needles (as you already know) and just richen it or lean to operating temp

yeah but the thing is if theres not enough oil in the fuel to begin with, the motor will run hot no matter how rich u run it... just monitor the temp closely! just to be safe

trust me... ive been there. :)

lol yea. . ..well exactly like i said. .. ..you need at least the right amount of oil and it will be safe. . .. ..

i wish .21 engines weren't so damn expensive
