i found locally a rb26dett t28 turbo.
trying to figure out if it is any better than our stocker...
its ar .42
isnt that smaller than ours?

these are the specs i used to have one

a GT28r turbo from an RB26DETT Skyline.
Compressor and Turbine Specs:
T3 Compressor Housing AR .42
Wheel T3 Trim 50
Inducer = 42.51
Exducer = 60.1

Turbine
Housing AR .48
Wheel T25 Trim 62
Inducer 53.8mm
Exducer 41.7mm

Garrett part NO. 466071-6

the only problem you would have with it boltin on would the connections to the intercooler hot/cold pipe, you would have to get an adapter, its on awr's site.

its an upgrade, yes. i think its the same as a .42A/R disco potato... R33 were ball bearing oil/water. if you can get it cheap and its in good shape, go for it. inlet and outlet adapters will cost you ~$75 total.

Cool ill pick it up today. Guy wants to trade me straight up for my t-mobile g2...
And I work at tmobile so I get new phones like a change underwaer, WIN!
Thanks for the info

i would call ATP and ask. if my memory serves me, the suggested setup is a -4AN line with a .040 restrictor right before the turbo.

Okay just checking lol. In that case it seems like a pretty straight forward installation. Shouldn't be too much fabrication nonsense.

just have to clock it, and than figure out the mounting... both the turbo and the manifold have studs, both male ends no female. but ill probably go with a steedspeed anyways, anyone know if steedspeed has built in studs?

no, but its not hard to put studs in. its a little harder to remove them but it can be done.

for the turbo, the compressor is a t3 compressor, the turbine is t2 flange.

Steed used to supply studs included in the price of the manifold. Not sure if he still does. Though I would go with some ARP studs if you can afford them. They are heavy duty.

you dont really need ARP studs unless you KNOW youre going to retorque them more than once or twice, and since the torque specs on the turbo setup are so low, i dont even know if id bother.

Well the reason I suggest them is because they are less likely to break off. My turbo -> Spipe studs look pretty fubar'd so I will definitely be swapping them for ARP's when I put on the corksport piece.

I'm looking at a Nissan T25 turbo to replace my leaky stocker. Man for some reason my whole Manifold, turbo, s-pipe setup has gone to s***. The manifold coating is s***, and it's leaking at one of the runners. The turbo is leaking oil (slowly but surely). And if I try to remove my s-pipe from the turbo I can pretty much guarantee some if not all of the studs will break off.

But assuming I get this turbo, all I will need is the install parts and a new manifold. I think it won't be too hard to make the swap if I am removing the entire trio at once. I plan on getting a professional to help me though. So anyway, post pics and a report of what you needed for install puhleaaaaaze? Kthxbai.
