I have lots of those around, they are also nice & strong.

I used small allen wrenches. Worked perfect.

Sooo, was it peer pressure or subliminal suggestivity that hooked ya? Or the freeness of it?

For me it was the freeness, I want to do the install for under $100, so far I'm at the $100 mark with the Alpine deck, harness and in-dash kit.

You guys are lucky, My HU tabs were bent badly and the tool would not work. I had to take half the dash apart to get to mind and in the end had to break the HU to get it out.

Just for laughs i asked the dealer about it. They said that they see it alot and that they would end up breaking it as well but they were gonna charge me up the ass to break it for me! LOL

I broke the tab on the left side of my radio when I took it out. Now i need it to put my new HU in because it didn't come with anything worth mounting it with. Do any of you want to sell the clips from the factory radio?

The Alpine came in on Friday, wired the 2 harness plugs together & made dim tools on Saturday, then installed on Sunday inside the garage, -10˚C.

Thank god for the dremel tool, I used it to make the dim tools, cut off a bolt and drill a hole in the car frame for the ground wire.

The Alpine, matched up with the Infinity speakers sounds great compared to the stock CD player.

Thanks again for all the advice, it saved me having to bang my head against the wall.
