actually passives are most effective against Ka and K bands radars they do ok for X band but tend to only slow the process down not truely jam xband. Against Ka and K they will work untill you get within 300ft at which point the radar will overpower the passive signal chirp...K and Ka frequency actually arent that wide of a band, most government radar guns run off the same frequency variations. Now super Ka is a whole nother can of beans and was designed specifically to elude detectors and jammers by having an ultra wide spectrum, the eagle one is an instant on unit that is a favorite of highway units...it uses a pulse to find you(shows up as a 1 or 2 on your detector) and then hits you full strength once it has locked the target....the laser jammers work on a led diode setup and I'm not convinced they work.
