Racing club looking for new members

Fellow mazda community members,

We are a student run racing club at western michigan univ. We have 3 cars that we race and maintain: a 91 honda crx, 81 mazda rx7, and a 74 Formula ford open wheel.

Currently I am looking for some new members in the GR/Kalamazoo/sorrounding area. We have a garage located near plainwell with a lift and all the tools.

The perks:
1. you get to race a car and all you paid for was the gas
2. great learning experiance
3. a way to get into the amatuer racing scene
4. a place and people to help you work on your car (provided the race cars are good)
5. Shop nights are a blast

The Cons:
1. It can be a lot of work at times
2. It takes dedication and motivation
3. You might not get to race RIGHT away, seniorty rules
4. Ride moochers and wanna-be's are filtered out quickly

The cars are raced in parking lots AND on full fledged race tracks such as gingerman raceway in south haven and blackhawk farms in illionis.

PM if you are intersted, you need not be a student, have a vast amount of knowledge or even a car.

My introduction....
The team needs a chick. i lived in Michigan for 2 years. I have owned my RX8 for a year, and have raced and kicked many ass. I admit, im not a student or have much experience racing. but I recently took a month long roadtrip from Northern Alberta,Canada and after a3 hour interrogation with the friendly fckers in U.S. customs, I crossed the border! (and was forever lost after that) I went on the most unbelievable adventure that not even Steven King could create, that involved 3 attempts to steal my car,(pissed) a 4bdrm house w/pool all to myself, an $800 a nite suite on south beach, a race with 2 semis(nailbyt), a silver 38(shocked)( and an all expenses paid 4 nite stay at the Silverdale Correctional Hotel in Chattanooga!crazy) Did you know there are 999,999 variations of beans,rice, potatoes,green jello and a dead carcass? (deadhorsewith warm Kool-aid?(puke)my RX8 also did time in the impound Twice! It took me a week to get to Florida but on the way I managed to blow the doors off some dude in some kind of BMW(first) racing at night through some hillside cliffs of i dont know where. He was attempting to beat me for some time, after awhile i had ran out of gas. Then there was a Mustang, in Wyoming, How come men dont like a woman having a faster car than them?. almost sandwiched between 2 semis, that apparently were having an episode of road rage, doing a retarded 180 downtown Atlanta with a maz 3 in rush hour,made my way down to Miami.(where i got quite cocky with a Boxter), tried to coax a couple of seniors in a Vette,)(sleep got dissed by 2 married guys (butthump)in a jag, and the ultimate race where there is no one, but you and some fool with some kind of toyota honda who mistakenly thought his 6ft spoiler was going to help, on a straight far as the eyes can see stretch of freshly laid pavement.If i remember correctly, i wasnt even in 5th yet when his needle was buried. (blah) OK ill shut up now. (blah)cya!
