Raced a Acura tonight

I just left the drive in (2fast2furious)and was heading home when headlights where right on my tail. I sped up alittle and again right on my azz. So I pulled way this time no problem we're doing like 90 now The Ack went by and got bout three car lengths then started pulling away. We're doing bout 110 and he's bout a good 4 lengths,I slow shift into 4th and floor it

. I pass him doing 125 and the needle is still climbing I hear him downshift and Im still pulling turbo screaming almost 130 maybe more not sure cuz a bend in the hwy was commin quick, i didnt let off he did(he already shift back to 5th)I waited for him to pass guess he liked because he was givin the thumbs up out the window.......

Mods:Joes xymbc(9.5 very close to 10psi) K&N drop in(whole bottom of airbox cut out)Removed weatherstrip Autometer gauge

It was a SL or something like that class they all look the same to me..it had a rice bunner muffler and plus size wheels

yeah, I raced an integra ls last night.. ha ha ha. it was an automatic 4 door.. lol.. it was fun.. the dude was being all serious about it.. get this.. we were down an old road we all race on.. he took out his spare tire... b/c it was "weighing him down"... as if he EVEN stood a chance.. needless to say.. I beat him by a good 5 car lengths.. which I was actually disappointed about.. b/c I only pulled on him in first and second.. after that,, I didnt leave him.. wtf is that about?

Yeah probably wasn't an RSX because those will smoke an MSP

The Type S will pull a stock MSP.

I don't think an RSX can smoke an MSP & an RSX type S has
about the the same 1/4 as an MSP....
It's a drivers race, if you don't know how to keep the RSX in
it's VTEC range you'll lose, but same goes for the MSP.
Just wanted to comment on that, that's all....

I guess I havnt learned how to keep my MSP in its "range".. after first and second, my car doesnt really pull anymore... is that normal??

hate to bring this up but a stock or even modded RSX-S will not smoke a stock MSP, here is the DYNO graph to prove it.

The bottom 2 are the RSX the top 2 are my dyno runs. The guy had a Hondata ECU Apexi Cat back, with high flow cat, DC sports headers, timing gears, ud pulleys, and something else i cant member right now.

Granted he can rev to 8 k, but by the time he gets to that point, your at least 1 car length away.

The toeque kills em in the first 1/8th mile, after that, its gravy.

dont flame me for this cuz im a newbie but since our power ends about 6400 is that when we sould shift during a 1/4 mile race. i raced an intergra with some mods and i had him first and second but when i hit third i didnt feel any power and he gained on me. i was bone stock and we finished bumper to bumper what is up with that ???

I shift at 7k, there is power there, dont met my dyno fool you, Its just leveled out there.

That could also just be the famous too rich for it's own good fuel mapping the Mazda has. What was the temp like? If it was 70+ degrees, the MSP really doesn't make any power due to this. They tend to just fall on their face. That is why I made the FP reduction kit.

Don't matter. A stock RSX-S has been known to r un a 14.9.
