Raced a Acura tonight

Dont forget, Driving abililty is huge with racing. I have seen the same to cars be 1.5 seconds apart at the end of a 1/4. if you miss a shift or spin the tires, he will get you. Just learn the car and drive it fast. Let the MSP do the rest..

Well let's put it this way, if a RSX-S and MSP were to run'em with equal driver's, I'm sure the MSP would take the 1/4mile time by maybe a half-car lengh to 1full car lengh. Both are pretty Quick car's, and i have tooken a "light Modded" Type-S in my Sister/brother-in-law's 5spd 02 SE-R with AEM CAI, Stillen Exhaust and it's lowered 2" inches (Sprint springs). the type-S had AEM CAI, and Greddy exhaust. I barely got him by like 3-5 feet, his front bumper to my front door. But yeah the MSP and RSX-S is basically a Driver's race, mainly if you misshift or shift early in either two car's.

Just wondering where you pull the dyno chart from. It's hard to beleive that the rsx could lose 50hp through the drivetrain.

I've been reading the forums on clubrsx.com and with those mods the rsx should be at least 200hp to the wheels.

Here is a dyno from AEM. Stock vs their new v2 filter on a stick....

hate to bring this up but a stock or even modded RSX-S will not smoke a stock MSP, here is the DYNO graph to prove it. :D/members/boostisgood/rsxvmspv1.jpg

The bottom 2 are the RSX the top 2 are my dyno runs. The guy had a Hondata ECU Apexi Cat back, with high flow cat, DC sports headers, timing gears, ud pulleys, and something else i cant member right now. :D Granted he can rev to 8 k, but by the time he gets to that point, your at least 1 car length away. :D The toeque kills em in the first 1/8th mile, after that, its gravy.

A Stock WRX loses More than 50WHP to the wheels so, What's your point. BTW a Type-S with major N/A bolt on's, will not exceed 200WHp to the Wheels, maybe 190-195Whp that's about maybe 230-240hp. Nothing more, you want more power go F/I.

i beat a RSX by atleast 3 car lengths and my MSP was stock.. it wasnt a type-s either the rsx is overrated or MSP is underated.

Dude, can you at least post a link to your claims? Anyone can just throw around drivel like car X loosing 50HP to the wheel.

boostisgood mentioned The guy had a Hondata ECU Apexi Cat back, with high flow cat, DC sports headers, timing gears, ud pulleys, and something else if that is the case his car is loosing much more then 50hp through the drivetrain. if anything it looks like the car being dyno'd was a base rsx.

This is straight from the hondata website. just intakes and the ecu upgrade will bring the him close to 190hp. that is 40hp off the dyno boostisgood posted and that is just with two mods. (check clubrsx.com there are many other dynos from owners to prove this).

If the guy had the #4 upgrade.. he could rev up till 8600rpms :)

Lets look at the numbers:
mazdaspeed
170-hp / 160 fp
2843 lbs

rsx type-s
200 / 142
2767 lbs

The numbers don't add up man.. the torque will give the mazdaspeed the initial kick; buts its a lost cause after that.
