Question When I am at a stop light my rpm gauge goes up and down between 500-700 rpms does anybody else experience this should I be worried?

I had the same problem yesterday. I got worried and asked one of the mechanics at work and he said it did it b/c I was doggin it and b/c I have a short ram intake that' trickin the ecu into thinking is getting cold air. Another mechanic said it could be the spark plugs. But it's better now so I'm not too worried about it. The first guy also said it was a protege trait.

that could be alot of things. Ask the dealer and if they can't give you a clear answer, just watch to see if anything else starts acting wierd. As long as you have done nothing wrong (like gone too far past redline), you shouldn't have much to worry about.
