I have an 08 and heard rear mounts can help shifting. does it apply to 08 models? where can i buy them? could you guys me give me a link?
anything other than rear mounts that are helpful for shifting?
thanks

You can replace the rear mount with a stiffer one and you can also change the 4 bushings on your shifter.

Check the DIY forum and you will find what you're looking for. I did the Epoxy method of stiffining my rear mount and love it. Its quick and cheap.

which mount is the rear mount, is it the one on the bottom bolted to the tranny and cross member, or the one there is a recall on

My understanding is that the two you just mentioned were one in the same. Could be wrong though. But yes the mount that these replace is the one that bolts to the tranny.

No the recall mount in under the battery, the stiff aftermarket mounts go under the body on the trans.

Thats right. Its right next to where you take out your motor oil drain plug. Also I did the epoxy to my shifter and it was a little better then stock but not nearly as good as putting the twm aluminum shifter bushing in.Just spend the money and get the bushings since they dont cost much. Also you can change out your tranny fluid to a syntehtic to help in shift changing.
