Question About my turboXs setup

Hi all,

So what i wanna do is to Install my TurboXS downpipe With my TurboXS test pipe on my 07 MS3. My friend told me that if i want to keep my turbo seal in good shape, I better install an Oil Catch can with one way valve with it.
So What do you think about this setup?

Turboxs downpipe-Testpipe With Cat Hi-flow and OCC setup.??
Do i need something else?

I'm running the TurboXS downpipe and race pipe into the stock CBE. No smoke. I also have an OCC, but it catches very little. I just happen to believe in them.

I think that the "pill" restrictor is probably a better solution on this engine, although I do not have it. I do not have any "turbo smoke" issues. I'm at 38,000 miles and over 25,000 of them have been with the catless TurboXS dp/rp. I don't smoke or use oil. Note: It's not unusual to get a quick "puff" of black smoke when going wide open throttle once in a while, because this engine has super rich air to fuel ratio. That's normal and not what people are talking about with the "turbo smoke" issue, which is smoke at idle after driving the fully warmed up car for some distance, especially after a "spirited" driving session.

For peace of mind get the "pill" (search here for details). OCC's are a good thing to have on turbo engines, although I cannot say that one will do anything to "protect" your turbo seals. It makes more sense to me to run full synthetic oil, change it regularly (3,500 miles) and avoid taking the engine above 6,000 rpm, because high rpm and high boost together raise exhaust gas temperatures which may be more harmful to turbo seals than anything else.

And if i go with the COBB downpipe, do i need a testpipe or is it a 2in1 ?

I thought from your first post that you already had a Turbo XS rp on the car and had purchased the TurboXS dp and were about to install it. Did I read your post wrong?

Hehe ! I'm shopping for the best setup. i should Say, A turboXS dp and not MY turboxs :P
So i think the Cobb DP is the best Option because it's a 2 in 1.
What about my car Warranty? With a DP and TP

hope you don't have any issues you can't fix yourself cause the warranty's toast if the dealer (if they know what a different one looks like) sees it
