question about accelerator pedal - '01 ES Pro

I purchased a used 2001 Protege ES recently... the brake and clutch pedals have rubber coverings on them, but the accelerator pedal does not (it's just metal). Is this stock or am I missing the cover?

My 01 lx has a plastic accelerator pedal

You're missing a piece. My 01 ES has covers on all the depals
