Pulse spark plugs

well i got my (birthday)tax return and figured i'd try this thing out. i gapd them and put them in and the misfire was hellaious, i mean it was like the timing was off bad at idle. so i tried to give them time to adjust the ecu or let the ecu try to adjust to them. The only thing that changed was the idle that would almost sound like a cam'd out v8. the transition into boost started the missfire all over again so with that and this being my main car i took them out and put the old NORMAL spark plugs in and if i do try to put them back in i will have to tune the mpi to see if i can over come the misfire problem. so beware they don't seem to like our cars but mines has the MAM SS kti with mpi so if you do get them you might have better luck. just in case you want to see the web site www.pulstarplug.com

My dad kept asking me about those. I told him to save his money.

I installed my pulse spark plugs two weeks ago and left them at .44 gap. I noticed the power right away it was amazing, I have a friend that didn't believe me. But after he drove it before and after he was impressed and order a pair for his S2000<O:p</O:p

Be careful, you may need some tunning if running aggressive timing advance on normal plugs. Specially for turboed engines.

Increased temp in the plug will speedup the flame front, requiring to retard it.

These plugs were in the last issue of Modified. They put them into a almost stock 350Z and got about 10whp out of it. Even they were surprised and are supposed to do a couple more tests in the future.

like i said i have to retune for them so once i get the chnce i will retry then but seeing as i do have a turbo kit running 12psi w/ stock compression and really don't want to use my meth kit that much to cool things down it gonna be a wait i kinda worry about them wearing out the coils

besides with the way they work its like advancing your timing which within itself might help explain the increase in horsepower just a thought
