pulled out my leakdown gear and...

....woot, everything is ok, despite breathing mods, a bit of racing and a few missed shifts on the way. All four pots on my 08 test out allright and basically equal. The only PITA was finding actual TDC for each hole. This was made much easier when the leakdown fitting jammed in a plug hole and I had to pull the valve cover to get at it. (rant)

Another reason to like this car: It has spacers that retain the vc bolts so you don't have to remove them and thus, drop 3 down the engine bay. On top of that, you just tighten til it stops and you're torqued. Nice. I appreciate stuff like this. It's a sign that some real practical engineers designed this car.
