Finally Sony shows us what's to come. What do you guys think? I am and will always be a playstation fanboy so my opinion is always somewhat biased but it is looking great. Maybe not so much the new controller.

Supports up to 7 wireless controllers and backwards compatiable all the way to ps1.

Yea, I'm hoping that isn't the final design of the controller or else they ruined a good thing.

So can someone break this down for me. Is the PS3 going to look better then the Xbox360? BTW, I find it funny how they both basically look identical.

Will graphic wise they are about dead even, the ps3 seems to be a little more powerfull.

i don't really care which one is more powerful...i'm gonna go with the one that has the game hookups.....more games, more variety, more fun!

i wish they could overthrow the frickin' gamecube as the best party system.

(i know..."go online!" but nothing is better than being able to laugh with/at your friends in person)

Either way, I'll probably end up getting both. I'm just glad to see alot of new titles (not sequels) that are being made. Some of them look really good as well.

PS3 does over 2 Teraflops, 360 does over 1.
PS3 does 100 billion shader operations per second, 360 does 48 B
PS3 does 51 billion dot operations per second, 360 does 9 B

PS3 will own :-(

Looks and sounds nice from the specs.....except for the controller. Gonna need Green Giant thumbs to reach those analog sticks.

gotta think about the pros in the design for the controller. if you get mad and throw it, you wont have to get up to get it. itll come right back to you.

a) also post this on fark
b) steal it from a fark post to try and sound clever
c) think of it all on your lonesome?

Looks interesting. I'll be waiting my usual 1-2 years before getting it though.

Let's all just hope the DVD-ROM drive reads and writes as fast as they say...

And wtf why didn't they have more RAM? Frame rate's gonna suffer in some games...

# Vision Gran Turismo -- Polyphony Digital
Devil May Cry 4 --

those 2 games will be the reason i buy it over the xbox 360.. devil may cry is fun and addicting, and gran turismo, well any one with a ps2 knows ... simply the best..

love the console, but i am with yall about the controller, i hope they have thumb extensions to go with it..

like all gran turismo game i doubt a launch date for it, unless its been in the works for over a year and the system does not come out for another year. i think sony is feeling the pinch/stress from microsoft since they have a concreate system for now. ive read many things about both but people i think fail to compared the differences in technology over the dvd drives no? arent they two complete different technologies? isnt sony going in house with it and doing something completely new with theirs?

naw
d) i stole it from a guy on xbox live (lol2)

In sure there is triggers in the back of the controller. Its just the angle of the photo. Im glad they are going to do wired controller unless the new ones are wireless. i will buy this over xbox360.
