It is a smaller plastic tank, it will be mounted inside the car like a cell. The problem with cells is they are not applicable to street cars. The rubber bladders inside them disintegrate when fuel is stored in them, they must be drained after every drive/race whatever, they are madly expensive and must be replaced every few years as well. I was originally going to do a cell, but after looking at them, it's not viable for street cars.
Aluminum Exhausts get to hot for extended racing. Short periods are fine, but for events longer than 30+ mins it gets very dicey when elevated temperatures rise. You will not lose "lots of power" running short exhausts, all high end racecars run short exhausts if rules allow for it.
Ive seen people daily alum cat backs with no problem. Hence why I said cat back, anything before that im sure would be too hot. And to your short exhaust statement...LOL I think u confused the protege for a racecar. You will lose a s*** load of torque and if u think u wont, u need to go look up how backpressure and NA motors work together. Race cars are tuned for the short exhaust, they dont just build the motor and go, "hey, a full exhaust weighs too much, lets just throw this short thing on there and call it a day." If you tune for it, then Im sure you will be fine, otherwise, expect a huge loss in low end torque
