Yes. That car is faster than you and anyone on the street thinks.

Heres the math:

Mikes car weights 2200lb's with driver and half tank. It should be putting down about 170whp. 2200/170= 13 lbs/hp

Speed3 have a curb weight 3153lbs so we'll say 3300 with driver and half tank. Its rated at 263 hp. 3300/263= 12.5 lbs/hp

(I used a 08 speed because thats the car that was raced)

Thats damn close when you think about it. Mike has a lightened flywheel and theirs always the driver mod.

where did he have his car weighed at? i wanna see how much mine weighs...i didnt think just anybody could do that lol
 
Got a question for you ... Im going to wrap my fender in that CF stuff ... do you know the dimensions of the fender (max length by max height) so I know what sqft to get?
 
Most race shops have corner scales. He did his at a truck scale, just go late at night.

yep, I did mine that way as well.
recycling centers should have scales.

Yup I have a truck scale at work. =)

I was at 2600 last time I checked (full tank with all my sounds)
 
Goals for swap:

Budget, 2K to get a running KLG4 protege.

Parts car: 1998+ OBD2 626 ~$800
Header: 6-2-1 Probe addiction header stainless header. Eliminates all cat's. $320 shipped
Radiator + Fan: Aluminum shorty radiator for a Civic with a generic fan. ~$100 shipped on ebay
Exhaust: 2.5" cat-back with magnaflow muffler = Best sound ever. ~$300
Motor mounts: AWR 88 duro Front and Rear full and side inserts. ~$200

The rest will goto a fund that will keep me going in case something goes wrong.
 
Turbo is the s***, don't get me wrong.. but the fs is not something I'd want to try again haha. Hope to see you go through with this :D
 
I just thought I had read that in a kl swap write up somewhere. I'm. Guessing that a probe gt or millenia kl would work as well? I soo want to do this swap as well and have the mechanical knowledge to pull it off in my garage right next to my 72 f100 in restoration mode and 500ft lb of torque =) but just ain't up to speed on the whole emissions side of it, or how to register after a swap.

R1 Slotted front and rear rotors

Metalmasters pads
 
Link to pads? I just swapped outt a caliper today and I need pads, but I don't want autozone s*** again. I was looking at greenstuff or hawk. But id like to research metalmasters...
 
Got them from weaksauce. Homie hookup for $10. I dont really know much about them, he said they're good and I believe him.
