Wow. . .all the hatin'. . .even if Dana lost. . .he'd still look a lot better! I've watched plenty of "drags" and most of the Subies I've seen are unfortunately people who can't drive (or so it seems) because many dog off the line, so I don't know that I would be afraid of them either! Hopefully you're happy with the Subaru. . .I almost bought one long ago and thought about it again, but just can't "accept" the look of the subie (and I've been a subaru owner before. . .love them, just not the look of the WRX). Enough on that. Very cool that there is more "groups" being created!

A guy I used to work with in GSO had a WRX with 279 whp a few years ago. He sold it since it got broken into a few times and he didn't want to add much more power and grenade the tranny.

Keep dreamin. Half the WRX's are modded. Or do you mean the half that are driven by non-enthusiasts?

I'm sorry but besides sti's I just don't see wrx's pulling down crazy numbers. They can be fast but the cost to get there seems to be extremely high. I like the car alot, but I think they are heavily overestimated. Most "modded" wrx's you see on the street have a bov and rims. Last I checked that doesn't equal a fast track time without an excellent driver. Launching awd is not easy to do properly. I'm not knocking the car I'm really just knocking all the suburu nut licking that goes on around here that doesn't make sense to me. Yes awd nice. Yes stock turbo nice. OMGWRXFASTASHELL = no. STi yes. WRX no. rant over.

Oh my bad billzebub. I really like wrx's I just find it funny how green the grass always is if you get my drift. The wrx is an excellent car to tune on just expensive to make truly quick.

Yeah. It's peppy, but it ain't no drag car and it's not really worth it to make it one. it wasn't designed for straight lines. It'll tear up some curves and it won't hurt for speed and acceleration, but it won't ace a Cobra or anything.
