BTW looks like you have an S4 based on your manifold. You think about getting VDI from the S5 that's good for like 10-12whp, and makes the power band much thicker.

got any pics of a s5? His looks just like mine, so I'm guessing mines an S4... if I can find some free power at a junkyard, I wanna know what I'm lookin for :D

An S5 will color matched body moulding. Thats the easiest way to tell. The only S4 that had color matched moulding was the 10AE version.

That's easy what year is yours? 86-88 are S4, 89-91 are S5

BTW believe or not (trust me you should) the stock exhaust is EXTREMELY restrictive. You CAN unlock about 20whp with a good full exhaust system. You'll pick up 10-12whp on a header alone.

Ok, got some more work done today. Got all the A/c Lines pulled, the Drier and the condensor. I also went ahead and removed the undertray...

more parts, yay!!

Now I only have 1 more piece to remove for the entire a/c system and thats the evaporator which is under the dash. I might have to tackle this tomorrow, we'll see.

I've still gotta pull that out of mine. I may do that next sunday. Autocross today and tomorrow, and next sat (and if I'm really feeling spry, next sunday too)

lol yeah, it doesnt weigh too much...the heavies thing was the a/c pulley and mount on the far left...that was actually less trouble breaking loose than i thought it would be.

lol yeah, it doesnt weigh too much...
true, but without the rest of the A/C, it's just dead weight, so what's the point?

And I think the haviest thing in mine (besides the compressor...actually it may have been very close to the weight of the compressor) was the bracket bolted to the block to hold the compressor...

lol how about we get it running first...and then upgrade the suspension...its driving on pillows right now lol

This is true! Then may I suggest KYP GR2 + a racing beat spring/sway bar package. Works on a budget and should yield awesome results.

as of a couple months ago, racingbeat was out of stock on their springs, w/no date for delivery... so for our car we found some cheap tanabe's on ebay w/similar specs.. when we got 'em the white model numbers on em looked to be the same size/font as on my miata's racingbeat springs... so since we know some of racingbeat's parts are manufactured in japan, we're hoping they're the same thing just sold under a different label.

we have the kyb GR2's as well.

we're planning on ordering the racingbeat sway bars soon, too.

Good alternatives are eibach, and suspension techniques (st tends to be on the stiffer side though). Whiteline also makes awesome stuff IF you can afford it.

Over this past sunday I pulled out the pasenger seat, pulled the a/c evaporator from under th dash and pulled out the storage bins from behind the seats....thats all I've gotten too so far.

more pics of things which have been removed :D

A/c evaporator, now i have to seal the holes in the fire wall...need some sheet metal.
