I changed the battery on my keyless remote for may Mazda Astina 323 2002 model. Now the remote does not work at all, I assume it needs to be re-programmed. Can someone please tell me if it is possible and how I can do it myself?
open the drivers door. put the key in the ignition...turn it on (but not starting up) and back off three times...then open and close the door three times...then press the lock button until it starts locking and unlocking and make sure it both locks and unlocks...
off the top of my head i believe this is how you do it, if not, do a search i starteda thread awhile back it has the answer in it.

I just wanted to say that this works great! I have a 323 BJ Astina, 2003 model with the same problem. The remote hasn't been working for over a year...I finally got around to opening it up and checking the connections (found + connection a bit funny), replaced the battery and then ran the re-programme sequence as above and hey presto! Working remote! Many thanks!
