Problem with engine, help!

Hi, i have a problem with my 2008 Mazda 6! about a week ago, the engine lamp turned on. When i did the obd-scan i got this faultcode:"U0401 - Invalid data received from the engine control module / powertrain control module"
I had reduced power when the lamp was on, then it turned off after 4 days, power back to normal and apparently no problems...
Anyone have any idea what could have coused it?

Not sure, but I have another vehicle that exhibited the same behavior. The cars today are set if they receive any fault that may damage the car they go into a self protection mode with limited power from the engine and transmission. This fault may reset by a restart or a short respite from driving. In my case I stopped for Lunch and Fuel and the error was gone and never came back and its been 2 years now.
