Problem Identified? (P0172)

Ok, so the problem might be identified, or at least i can reason why my car is leaning out.

After some driving time my car is showing a P0172 (Bank 1 Too Rich) code. I am assuming, and please feel free to correct me or help me out, that when this code pops up after x amount of miles after last reset, the computer freaks out and starts leaning out the car no matter what.

Here is my setup for those of you who dont already know or dont feel like clicking on my link.

Please dont tell me to get a F10X, i am already considering it. Let's try to fix this problem if we can, I would greatly appreciate it.

6.5PSI on GT28RS
BEGI RRFPR
100+ PSI fuel @ 6.5PSI
FM Clamp

Also as a side note...the o2 sensor is BRAND new, as well as the FM Clamp. If either is not working, they never have, because the problem has yet to be solved.

why you running 100+ ??? i dont think you need anything more then 90 at most. How cold are your plugs?

so that i will be as rich as possible to combat the lean condition. plugs are one step. either way, im running lean because the ECU is pulling fuel when that code comes on. whether i run 90 or 100 the code is still going to come on, so i need to figure out how to make it not come on.

Hook up a momentary switch to the pcm so that you can re-set the kam whenever you wanted. And turn down that fuel pressure.

well the original intention was to be boosting 7.5psi again (better for that fuel pressure), but since ive been having problems ive held off.

well to clear the code i can just let the scanner cycle a few times, and i dont lose my radio stations.

but thats like putting a band-aid on a big cut. how can i actually FIX the problem?

sell the car.

Or have someone that knows what their doing look at it and fix it.

I can tell you I have no more leaning out issues at all now with the E6X. Did you check that vac line I told you about?

i looked for the vacuum line in general but i couldnt tell from your pic. check out that thread i asked for a better pic :)

He would have to be there to look at the car. IT is hard to diagnose a problem over the internet with out knowing every little detail. Maybe you should dump the FPR and get a emanage or some kind of standalone.

maybe you should start buying stock parts and selling your mods to make some money off of it.

having a relatively problem free car will do wonders for the "likable" factor. your car isn't getting a fair shake in that department, because ever since you first boosted you've had a problem or two. I would specularte that for some reason your voltage clamp isn't doing its job properly. if it was then there would be no code, as the ECU would never know.

once your car is fixed I think you'll start to like it a lot more. just give it a fair chance with it working 100% before you decide its fate
