Pro5 vs BMW...

well as you all know i am sure that the pro5 has superb ahndling when cornering right? well, i found that out very well this evening....

i live near gurnee, and every friday night everyone who "rices" is out. so naturally i have to get out there too. so me and my friend mike decided to go out and find trouble... well we found it.

i was on grand avenue going to make a right to go into target to see if them ricers were still there. well we are waiting at the light a this dude and his two friends came up in their 3 series BMW. They looked at my car and were kind of perplexed im sure, so they reved thier engine and got closer to the white line so im like ok man! i revved too and gave a glare of some sorts... needless to say the green arrow finally came and i blew through the innersection like a bat outta hell! the guys behind us smoked'em too and before they were near me i switched lanes and buy that time i shifted into 2nd at about 6000rpm and flew around the corner no tire screech or anything! they eventually came around as well into the parking lot driveway but as soon as they did i was about 50 feet away pushing 3rd! they were so done! well then my friend and i went to turn around to see them to find out wich 3 it was. we went back to target and circled the parking lot. we found them and they were all ecstatic saying hell yeah, and damn! i pulled up as they were walking and said, '' thats MP5 power! that was in first guys!" so the driver came up to me and you drive stick? and i said hell yeah! and they all came up to give me props! my first victory!

the Pro5 RULES! i love this car, i cant wait till i mod it!

Are you the same Pro5OnSpeed that raced that Accord on another thread? Only a few hundred miled on the ODO?

Man, be careful. You don't want to mess your car up buy running it too hard before it gets broken in.

I am completely in favor of showing other cars that the MP5 and MP3 rock, but you can't do that when the engine takes a dump on you at the light!

i guess you are right, and i did race that accord. i wont do any more racing i just had to do that! i am going on a trip to the northern part of wisconsin so i should get a few hundred miles from that, and my car will be used to me soon! i cant wait till i open her up!

great story man, ive raced a 325i in my MP3 before, needless to say it didn't turn out quite like your story, they got the lead on me off the light and never let up, damn bimmer power.

in wilmington theres quite a few riced out bimmers, clear tailights, big chrome rims, wings , and many other stupid mods, ive beaten some of them lol.

Yeah, I got killed by a 328 (E36) while I was in San Antonio...on the highway!! I think he had some definite mods though.

Guys, a BMW isn't your neighbourhood Honduh! Even the lowliest 320i has an inline-6 with 160hp! That's like, pure crap BMW too. 325 should have 180hp if i'm not mistaken, and the newer 328 have close to 200 while the 330 passes the 200 mark! Not to mention BMWs have awesome handling! That guy you raced must've been either too scared to push his car or he doesn't know how to drive. Not that the P5 is bad, but, when you're comparing to a Bimmer, I've gotta say that the P5 is definietel not BETTER than it in terms of handling. Equals, maybe, but superior? I doubt it.

I never saw anything in that post about how the P5 was better. He just stated is account of what happened. Sure there are many factors that guided the outcome, but only he and the BMW driver know.
