Press the phone button, system says "incoming call"...

Hi there,

First post, just bought the wife an 08 GT.

Anyway, I paired her phone with the car. Now whenever she presses the phone button, the car says "incoming call". There's noone there! She can answer calls fine. No luck with searching the forum (great site, by the way). Any help would be appreciated.

Which phone?
You may be looking at a compatibility issue between two BT devices.
To be sure,
1) unpair the phone
2) pair it again

If no one calls, pressing the phone button should get you into the "main manu".
If the problem persists, try the following,
Borrow a phone with BT capability from your friend and pair it with CX9
-> if no problem, then, your own cell phone's BT is at fault
-> if same problem, the BT module on your CX9 is defected (hope you have warranty on it)

If you cann't unpair it, (can't get into main manu), you have to do a hard reset.
(disconnect the "-" terminal of battery) Doing so, may also affect other settings such as your FM radio stations, and
window auto up/down (which needs reset as well - see owner's manual).

If you don't have an owner's manual, go to mazdausa.com and register as an owner (needs VIN number).
