Only if you put an ECU chip that will force your computer to react properly to the higher octane. If not your car might not run correctly with the higher octane fuel IF YOU ARE IN NORTH AMERICA.See You said:Will the 2.3 L Mazda 3 put out more horsepower with Sunoco 93 octane gas?
Honestly I would just stick to the 89 gas until I get an ECU chip, CAI, and a supercharger. Then I will surely be pulling 300hp's and then it's worth puttin the 93 octane gas in!! Mazda3hatchback said:I have a problem with my gas in my car. When I use 87 octane my car hesitates as it goes through the RPM band so I tried 89 and the car does run a lot smoother and more proficient. I think 92 is a waste but I think 89 is better for our cars. I can feel a little difference with 89 and the car doesnt hesitate anymore.
