power steering hose help

ok so i searched and didn't find the answer i needed. the hose on the top of the power steering pump, the one that goes into the curved metal line and then is tied into the pump on the top side with a banjo bolt, is that the return hose or the suction hose. hopefully the suction, cause the return hose isn't cheap and i don't want to spend a lot of money on one.
