Power Sliding

Hey, does anyone here know how to power slide in their mp5? if so can u post a detailed what to do? peace

first you buy a spare set of tires, then you....

i try not to do too much of that sh*t just 'cause i can't afford new tires all the time. but, on "special" occasions, if i've just gone hard into a turn, it's felt like i've got into a nice 4-wheel slide. other than that, experiment with you're e-brake (in a wide open space, of course!)

Yo, go easy, no need to pull that s***.

You could probably tune your car to do it (bald rear tires :D ), but really hard.

Quickest fix - use the ebrake (wet conditions make it much easier to practice), and yeah, get a spare set of tires if you plan on doing it a lot.

powersliding with the ebrake is the best thing you can do to "drift" a FF car.

if you look online i'm sure there are techniques and how-tos for cornering with FF cars.

Watch an Option 2 video. Plenty of Integras and Civis drifting. I don't know how they do it, but its pretty amazing.

There are, but apparently it's pretty complicated. There was a thread about it a loooong time ago. Maybe a search is in measure...

i heard u have to let the rear end slide out by turning the opposite way yur gonna turn, then swerving the way yur gonna turn. jus dunno waht to do /w the pedals? keep on em? or wut

oh yeah oh more thing, wtf is an e-brake? (don't flame me :) also, i'm really afraid that the car will flip into a tumble, and that would ******* SUCK, so will it??

"Emergency" or "Parking" brake... It won't flip, as you should be going pretty slow.

Like mentioned above, if you really want to do this, find a very large, wet parking lot and go to town... Try about 25 MPH, that should be plenty of speed to slide first, the practice controlling the slide.

Yes...you are...drift != powerslide. Powersliding is technically the effect you get w/ fwd cars. Drifting is a controlled turn pushed by the rear wheels.

Here's a pic and a link to add...

E-brake is emergency brake...

The EK/DC2 are setup to oversteer and that makes them slide happy.

Yup, very well put Blown :) The DC2 Integra and EK9 Civic are a favorite in Option 2 videos when they feature FWD drifting.

so yeah, everyone is helping ya out here.

the best techniques would be powersliding and left foot braking for a FF. do a google search!

i think LFB would be easier to practice and pick up. it involves braking and accelerating at the same time through a corner

i have a very old super street at home that explains drifting pretty well for awd, fwd, and rwd. its like 5-6 years old before initial D created the drifting craze.

Spin that round thing attached to the dash with the cluth in, give the e-brake a good yank, then turn the spinny thing the other way, pop the clutch, gun the throttlle, and steer out appropriatley.
