I'm trying to figure out what would give it some more power mainly top end. I'm more of looking for ideas. The precat is bad when I replace or rebuild the head ill probly get a cheapo ebay header will it help any and if so how much? Also is it worth the money for jspec cams? I'm not looking to get a lot of power out of it just to make it a little bit more fun not wanting a louder exhaust than what it has now either so keeping the 2nd cat... what else would help it?

removing the pre-cat was the best go-fast mod i did on my old p5. The CAI was more sound if anything but it did add to the fun factor.

It is an mp3 so a check on vtcs delete and mp3 ecu :) ill have to get a header but mid pipe is the main cat right? If so I'm keeping that due to sound issues and bored cops rb exhaust is aparently too loud to be stock (bs) and I forgot about an intake. Its a daily that gets driven in the rain a lot so can't get a "real" intake I want the weapon r dragon intake. So what else is there for cheap? Anybody try the cams have any input on that

header and cat delete made quite a difference for me, but it makes your ride LOUD!!!

I plan on doing a header if its too loud ima use a red cherry bomb tube as a 2nd resonator no restrictions and quiets it down. So really the only option I have is a header... that sucks. Still wondering about the jspec cams any clue for those?

SRI, Exhaust (2.25/2.5) cat back, midpipe, high flow cat, header, FS-ZE cams, medieval LW pulleys, LW/UD crank pulley,

or if you really want to go deeper J-spec pistons, porting IM and head, piggyback and stuff like that.

Or boost.

i currently have most of the parts i listed in the first line. and yes it makes a bit of a difference. best bank for the buck was cams.

I don't want a louder exhaust. I may get the cams I'm not going to turbo its not worth the money to me. The head is getting pulled off and replaced or rebuilt so if I do replace it I might build the stock one over time.as far as piggy back I have no experience tuning them nor do I know anybody and I don't wana teach myself on something like that. Ill look into the pulleys as well

The SSafc comes with a base map so you don't have to worry. You would be able to take it somewhere to get tuned or try a few other premade maps.

When I put the rr racing pulley on I noticed a slight more pep in the engine. Not bad for $100 but I did have a good bit more done and the ac was deleated. Just my 2 cents.

The cams are really easy to do. And if your taking the head off anyways its the same work.

Just add some resonators to quiet down the exhaust and keep the stock axle back.

Turbo is the best power for price by far... I should have a complete stock msp set up/sr20 t25/fmic set up for around 600. Try getting 30+hp for that price n/a!

Ok well plans have changed a little bit what do I need to be quicker than a 99 civic si? Still not turboing will cams header intake do this? Btw did a autozone short ram intake made a big difference. Will removing the muffler at the rear help? Itl be done at the strip so its not a big deal for temporary use.
