I was wondering how much it would cost to have calipers professionally powdercoated. I want something that will look professional and last a long time. Is this even possible?

It is possible, it would be a lot of work cause I belive the calipers have to be taken apart. I think the place her in colorado would be about 65-80 bucks per caliper. It would look nice if you had the money and the time to be with out your car.

any things possible - its gonna cost a whole bunch-o-money. the calipers will have to be removed, striped, cleaned, masked, coated, rebuilt, etc. you can get similar look from just a can of the right paint

Not worth it to have Calipers powdercoated. Just spend the $15 and buy the Caliper paint and do it yourself. There is plenty of paint in the Duplicolor kits to do a good 3-4 coats easily.

what is a good brand to use?

Does it have to withstand certain temps? could you use engine spray paint?

Any Hi temp engine paint will do, but I hear the caliper paint kits are pretty nice. Should be able to puck it up at autozone or something.

caliper paint does not NEED to be high temp, as the actual calipers don't get all that hot. plain rustoleum would be fine.

There's an EXCELLENT brake caliper paint (actually epoxy) called G2. You can get it at Tire Rack for $38. I've used it on previous cars and it ROCKS. Very durable and doesn't fade. You have to clean the calipers with the included spray, let them dry, tape off areas where you might hit the rotor and lines, paint, let dry and paint a SECOND coat and LEAVE for 24 HOURS. Essentially, you need to prop the car up on jack stands and take all 4 wheels off and leave it be like that while you paint and after so it cures properly.

DO NOT USE regular high-temp spray paint. It will look like s*** (I've seen it) and isn't as glossy or durable as the specialized caliper paint.
