Thanks.

I just dropped them off at Lo Ko this morning; $15 for both of them.

wow, thats a chronic deal. I guess they are just flat pieces of metal though. Doesn't get much easier than that. I probably could do the same price if they were prepped already. It takes alot of time with my current setup to prep parts. Thats usually were my cost come from. Good deals on the parts though!(smoke)

Yah, I know. I was pretty cheesed.

They are basically flat parts, a few holes in each and couple of slots; nothing fancy. These guys do tons of stuff so I'm sure that affects prep time.

Ooh, I didn't realize you were going to finish those plates. That'll completely kick ass once you have those coated!!

yeah, I brushed them yesterday using some scotchbrite and they came out OK, but I wasn't too keen on having everything black and then these plates being shiny....too blingy for me...

Kick ass; I picked up my plates today and they finish is awesome.

Even though the pieces were relative small and uncomplicated, consider me a future customer of Lo Ko in Oak Lawn: www.lo-ko.com

Well, with the plates done, I'm basically ready to assemble the racks (I have two to "build).

I was planning on a how to (DIY Fork Mount Bike Rack on OEM Rails).

I'll snap a pic of the before and of just the plates when I get home (I already took before shots).

They're a nice, matte/flat black. Good stuff...
