It was in Birmingham, and no it's compiled of a sequence of photos taken by one of their local guys.

not sure what color the prototype was but if not mistaken the first one would have been black cause the last 600 made in 03 where spicy, i could be wrong but im pretty sure thats how they did.

if I recall the first was spicy orange, or red....one of the two
rumor has it that the first one had hardpipes factory, was supposed to come in red, and a few other things...how much of that is true and actually happened idk, but I do remember seeing pics of an msp with hardpipes with captions of being the 'prototype'

lol, the original plan proposed was a v6 turbo awd, but mazda obviously didn't want to spend that much =P
