So I guess I'll post a random old pic in a sec. to stay on topic... But I just wanted to note that I acquired Photoshop over the weekend. CS4, for free.I've only opened it once, briefly and it will probly take a while to get any good out of it, but it's there! (hi)
And judging by the quality of this photo, I need all the help I can get. (lol2)

photoshop is no substitute for a tripod.
this pic is not too bad. some thing i might have done differently: put the car in the back 1/3 of the frame so its facing into the shot, and make sure the city line in the background is level, not the car.
I picked up a $12 tripod from one of the sites off of todaysDOD.comYa, how much do I need to spend to get an ok tripod? I would basically need the cheapest one that just held my camera steady, I think... I wonder if I could I find one on craigslist?

It holds my DSLR just fine unless its windy... so for a point and shoot, at least for like 6 months, ANYTHING will be fine. eventually you'll want something better. Mine is already showing some damage from being banged around.
Most excellent pics!
^ i concur. looks like u went out of ur way for an excellent photo-shoot.

I use a gorillapod. It bends and molds to anything you want to mount it on. Straight tripod for steady shots, or you can wrap it around a tree for difficult terrain
