Post here if you would buy a CX-9 Exhaust

I think a deeper/louder exhaust would make it hard for my 3rd row passengers to hear the RSES, even through the headsets

Honestly, untill we can get after-market support from a named company, i would just look at some of the V-6 Mustang products out there, then go to Burns Stainless www.burnsstainless.com or Borla www.borla.com and order what i wanted. Then buy a case of beer, and make friends with a nice welder from your local Race/Tuner/Performance shop that has a dyno and call it a day.
Your financial outlay will be upwards of $600 either way you go anyway.

I normally would say yes, but I think I'm pretty happy with the CX-9 the way it is. We bought it to be a family car, sticking a Borla exhaust on it would be cool, and if it becomes my daily driver, maybe. Let me say this though...if the price was reasonable, I would replace it.

+1 on the exhaust and if nothing comes out, I am thinking about doing aero turbine 2525XL. Feebacks are welcome!!!

I am not sure if the wife will let me touch the exhaust on the CX9, but if something were to come out onto the market for the CX9, I'd likely check it out and try to sneak it on the CX9.

I did consider just replacing the mufflers that are something like the Dynomax VTs which have the flange inside that flip open for WOT or hard Accell, or are otherwise pretty quiet on normal driving.

The wifey is the obstacle here as well. However, if the oem ever fell apart, I would be interested as long as it wasn't too rice.

Lol, "fall apart". Hey honey, the muffler fell off mysteriously. We better get something to replace it.

I looked at some pics, looks like the inlet to the stock muffler is at the corner at an angle, and then the outlet is center out to the big tip. So, might be pretty difficult to throw any "univeral" aftermarket muffler in there without modifing the whole axelback.

If I do find a money tree some day, or win big in Vegas next weekend. After I do a Cam swap in the G8 and if funds are still availalbe, I'd mock up something . G8 mods come first though.
