Possible to add just the technology package?

Hi,

Mazda USA's website demands that you cannot buy the technology package alone; you have to buy the moonroof package as well. Simple question: is it possible to order JUST the technology package?

Not according to my dealer, had to get both.

It's a factory fitted item that is limited by the design of the production line in Hiroshima.
They only install those features on cars with the moonroof.

Above two posters are correct.

I wanted the tech package but didn't want a moon roof nor the bose speakers.. so I just skiped them both.

I think the CX-5's in Canada come with items from the Tech Package on one of their trim lines standard.
Can't access the build my CX-5 on mazda.ca right now to verify.

Thanks for the info everyone! It seems really stupid the way they designed the build form on their website to let you think they are separate packages when they are not. Would have made more sense to just call it the "Technology and Moonroof Package" or something similar.

in canada we have only 3 type of cx5 : Gx = sport in USA : GS = Touring in USA and the GT same as USA. In the Touring model, it come with the moonroof, it's not a package, the only package available is for the GT, it's the technology package. I tried to build a CX5 on mazdausa and you can't only choose the technology pacakge. Also, there's some option available in the USA that is not in canada !!!

This is because you can get the moon/bose package stand alone, or get the tech package in addition to the moon/bose. (available in both the Touring and GT trims)

the japanese and korean imports are horrible for option package bundling.
this is the reason I bought a Focus 5door for my wife over a Mazda 3 last year. The focus I could get almost every option a la carte, it was great!

if I do buy a CX-5, it will be sans tech package because I hate moonroofs and leather
