2003.5 Mazdaspeed Protege
Hey guys, I own a bone stock MSP and was thinking about making some cosmetic upgrades. All the coilover setups I've looked at for the MSP look ridiculously priced and I'm limited on my money. Are there any cheaper sets of coilovers? Also, where could i find the front grille piece with the deleted Mazda "M" and the little "Mazdaspeed" offcentered to the side? Thanks in advanced.

Megan racing, K sport, Yellowspeed will be your low end ~$750-850 entry level full coilovers, the cheapest BC racing run about $1k. K sports have a rear camber plate that no other coilovers have until you get into the ~$1200 range. Ground control coil sleeves are a cheaper way to lower the car using the stock struts, or regular lowering springs are also an option. As for the grille, DG motorsports makes the open grille you are referring to in fiberglass and carbon fiber, there is also an ebay knockoff but the fitment is poor out of the box. You will have to add the mesh and mazdaspeed badge yourself.

Well damn you pretty much covered everything. Haha I appreciate it, guess I know where my money's going now

Well said! Hey do you think I can cut those 3 pillars that are attached to the front bumper, where the FMIC is ? I don't know why they are there !

Yeah you can cut them, they are there to keep the grille opening from flexing so the bumper will probably move a little more but you will never see it since you will be driving.
