I respect any person's right to their opinion and stated such in my previous post. (usa) Don't mistake my intent in replying as angry, it was not, however when you stated that it is "pansie-esque", I thought I would at least comment on that. So please respect my right to reply to your opinion. (wiggle)

I also think you are misreading my post in one regard. "Zoom Zoom" is not merely an ad campaign but also the approach of the engineering in any of the Gen 3 cars that was taken when Mazda launched the program. I know this because of all the tests that I had to take regarding it when I became "certified" as a Mazda service advisor. Mazda is making hay with engineering that is sports car inspired in their entire lineup of cars along with a successful ad campaign. This is much different than the previous direction the company was going. Don't underestimate the power of that ad. That is all I was saying. Like I said, I could really care less about the name, whatever everyone feels they like best.

I wouldn't say that by having an opinion I'm ripping on anyone, just voicing my God given rights to think what I want. While the Zoom Zoom campaign may have been pivotal in Mazda's growing success, I wouldn't attribute the success of an auto manufacturer on an ad campaign that could have been replaced with millions of other ideas that could be equally as effective. It may have been the a boost in the beginning, but like we all know, once you drive one, these cars sell themselves.

And have you ever seen that Panasonic commercial for a flat panel TV where the guy says "Va.....Va.....VOOM!" and then there are flying TVs and intense music. It's the most awful thing ever. Va Va Voom makes me think of hair dryers, not TVs. Anyway, in my mind I have this terrible connection between Va Va Voom and Zoom Zoom.

My comment on MiZZO and the Zoom Zoom advertising campaign were merely my personally feelings. I felt that maybe if I shared, other people might agree, as it took me a few posts to realize that the idea was gaining momentum. It's like politics and religion, just trying to see if there was anyone out there who agreed, or who I could bring to the Dark Side with me...

Quit feeling sorry for yourself and pitch in man!!!!! (thumb) You can do two things, keep dwelling on what happened before (negative vibes) OR you can help us get this rolling. (good vibes) I have stated numerous times that this isn't easy, I have personally gone through it with my Ducati club. Two years in I was going to say "**** it" and end the whole thing. Then other guys came along that wanted to help and we are on the way to a good thing. Just help us, we need your input and creative help to make this work.

Hey guys, I have a good idea. Since the Subaru guys meet every Tuesday in Novi, they have stated it is cool for us to share that location and time with them this summer as long as we behave . We should meet next tuesday to go over this stuff. Brian, Chris and I were out there last night hanging and we can have some beers and wings and hammer some of this stuff out. (thumb)
