popping/clunking noise

I bought a 2003 msp with after market tien coilovers. I don't know if the problem is related to those or maybe the steering system, but when I turn the steering wheel right or left a decent amount there is like a popping or powing sound that comes from that area. Also the steering will keep a memory of that direction such as letting go of the steering will will stay the same direction from center, either right or left. Anyone have any issues like this. Any info will be appreciated. Thank you for your time everyone.

does the sound only happen when moving? or does it do it at a rest too?

Check your steering tie rods.

I would say tie rod ends as well and maybe something to do with the steering rack. Have you had an alignment lately? Check your suspension first, you may have some spring binding or something else.
