I am seriously about to buy this thing. Anyone have a reason not to? Experience with the company or this particular lip? Since it is the Ken Style is it only for the hatch?

I would definitely confirm if it for the 4-door or 5-door before you part with your cash.

Also, have a look at their feeback. 77 negatives in the past month, 367 in the past six.

I would proceed cautiously.

Anytime you do that much business people are bound to get delayed/upset. With volume some people slip through unfortunatly. You just hope it's not you. And people may put negative, but they don;t always correct it once the company makes good.

I used to think that way until I got screwed over by a guy with over 10,000 feedback.

95% is actually a pretty bad feedback score for that much volume. 77 unsatisfied customers in a month's time is a little more than just slipping through the cracks.

Just saying that I would be careful.

The answer is, it is not ok....

If they have a problem shipping the items then they need to hire more people, plain and simple.

I would not buy with feedback like that...

For $99, no way is it painted. Not that I would trust them to paint it anyway. At $99, your guess at the quality of the product is as good as mine. I sent an email to them asking about the fitment to make sure it is designed for the 3 sedan and not just the hatch.

You guys are right about the quality control. The number is a bit high. You have to figure that if the part comes and I need to return cause it does not fit there may be a problem getting my money back. Once I hear from them I will let everyone know what they say.

That is for 2nd day air I believe. You can order the same part from their website for $99 plus $31.06 for UPS ground for a total lip price of $130.06.

edit...actually it's different wherever you are in the US. They are based in California and it says the box for the lip is 75 pounds! I hope that's not what the lip weighs! So ground from CA to FL where I am would be like $66 plus the $99. In California it would be about $32-$35 for shipping.

There is no way i would buy from a company with that kind of feedback. It says in the ad also the lip weighs 8lbs.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. They seem pretty shady, don't they. I'm gonna need a lot of communication from them before I buy it. So far I have not gotten any, but I will keep you posted.

I just spoke with one of their reps on the phone and they told me the lip is made for the 3i, not the 3s model. So the lip won't fit right on the s cause of the different bumper shape. Man I am sick of all these lips not fitting the s sedans. First Garage Vary, now this company.

And he told me the reason for the high shipping cost is UPS rates it as a class 3 oversize shipment, so they have to charge that, and that the package does not weigh 75 pounds. For what it's worth.

So 3i owners it's on you to make the call now.
