Please help me asap

thanks for the posts guys, but i understand very little of this. I just want my car to run right haha. i worked on it today and i know what the problem is. The car seems to run fine, the turbo runs fine until the turbo reaches 6 psi, its limit. then the car bucks from the turbo i think. Im guessing the car knows that it should stop at 6psi but instead of steading the boost and keeping it at 6, it cuts fuel or something to lower the psi. If anyone of you know how to solve this, or even what it is please post or contact me. thanks

At 6psi, fuel cut does not make any sense. About the car bucking, does it buck once and feels like you hit a wall? or does it buck>>go>>buck..buck>>go>>buck...if you keep the pedal down?

I have a feeling you have a very dirty air filter, vacuum leak or both?

not to thread jack but is there a specific cause difference between the buck go buck or the hitting the wall type, because ive had the hitting the wall feeling happen under hard acceleration.

buck go buck go buck go. never a feeling of hitting a wall.

That's why I asked cause buck go buck go to me = tune up. A fuel cut...and I've experienced many different kinds, are usually like hitting a wall. Your accelerating, the car feels strong and bam loss of power when you least expect it...it's like hitting a wall.

Listen, I'd start with the basics. Have you checked your the condition and gap of your spark plugs?

Either way, I'd put some fresh ones in (NGK V Power zfr6f-11's) are cheap and have proven to be the best for our cars. The gap is important and you should keep it between (.032-.030).

Then, what type of air intake do you have? Stock air box, short ram or cold air?

If you have the stock air box, I'd drop in a fresh air filter. If you have a short ram or cold air intake or your not sure...take a snap shot of your engine compartment and we can help you get acquainted.

My car was running sluggish just before the cold weather hit and I found it to be old pugs. Once I had that fixed and the temps started to hit below 40 I started to hit the fuel cut. Its a shame because the car pulls hard then bang...hit the wall. So I took the cold air extension off and run the air intake like a short ram. Now I hit the wall only once in a while but can control it with the throttle.

I plan to relocate the MAF and get a blow off valve after the holidays. One to get better throttle response, two it has to give the car better information to know what the air is like just before it goes in the engine, and last it will most likely will also help with the fuel cut.

to permanently avoid fuel cut, just get SSAFC and call it a day. should cost around the same price and i doubt BOV would help you here.

im getting an ssafc and i hope i can just call it a day i might add some new plugs in too

I hit fuel cut with or without the AFC during the winter going over 10psi. If I keep it under 10 psi I'm good.
