I need someones.help and advice. I washed the engine bay yesterday with a pressure hose and dryed everything their after. I started the car to leave the car wash and my car started to.jerk. Next day i turned on to.go.to work.and.car still jerking and will turn off after a seconds of.it.being on. Can someone help and tell me what it might be.

you got moisture into the spark plug cylinders and underneath the coil packs. You need to take them out and replace the spark plugs....and use a heat gun to dry out the coil packs. should be as good as new.

I may have done the same thing but all I did was wash a cold engine with a spray bottle around the valve cover and poured water off to clean the soapy water. Now it will start and as long as I rev it ~2000 rpms it will run but any lower and it stumbles and dies.

Thing is, it drove for 400+ miles after the wash and it was going fine, no problems at all on the freeway. I stopped for gas once and it would idle really rough/low. Second time I stopped for a flat and after starting, it was really rough and nearly died but I kept revving it and it drove ok after.

I thought it was the coil packs too but the auto parts store guy said it sounds like an alternator.

Prior to this, I got had a shop do the valve cover gasket, plugs and wires. Afterwards it seemed to drive great but I'm not sure what the problem is here.

Check your battery terminals and cables for corrosion. If you have a voltmeter, place it to read volts and set the ground lead on the ground post of your battery and the positive lead onto a nice metal piece of your engine while the engine is trying to idle. You should see 0.5V or less. If it's more than 1.0V you have a bad engine ground some where. I had an 85 MR2 that used to corrode up all the time and have the same issue.
