theres no way that is gona cost that much.... 1200 thats a pretty steep price i think(boom02)

Who cares how much it costs now. I just got a confession from my neighbor who just 2 hours ago said her car wasn't even in the parking lot last night.

I just had the police back at my place a few minutes ago and I think I really scared her. She asked if we could handle it without the cops getting involved and I said as long as I could get her insurance to pay for everything I wouldn't.

The officer that came by later in the afternoon was a million times better than the one this morning. Even though there wasn't anything he could do he did humor me and followed me around while I explained all my detective work. Even hung out for a bit and talked about his family and cars. Totally renewed my faith in the sandy springs police department.

Whoever called it and said it was a woman you were right! Sorry J.A. :(

Sounds like you need to take a piss on her wind shield so the next day when she hits that Auto AC it wont be so pleasant.

I would make her pay for it obviously but bet your ass there is retaliation to be had here. You cant make it so obvious as damage to her car but you sure can take a nice piss on it when ever you get the urge. I say for a godo few months will do the trick.

I can blame it on this stray cat that likes to sit on tops of people's cars. I would say 'it's karma b****' and round house kick her in the throat like CHUCK NORRIS would do then make her lick my asshole.

If it makes you feel any better, my wife drove through some water and hydrolocked my engine... sorry about it bro, did someone hit you?

hydrolock > bodywork

I'm glad that you were able to identify the culprit, Kosh. Justice prevails! (although the cop you dealt with sounded like a piece of work)

What's up with the Cosmic Blue MS3s getting banged up? I mean... mine got rear-ended only after two months of my ownership. >_<

(there is an old thread floating around somewhere)

Maybe in the old days when the paint wasnt paper thin. That wont buff out you are crazy man.

Ha! I know man, I was just trying to lighten up his mood. That really sucks, I hate to see any nice car scratched up like that (shocked) Best of luck, hope you can have it looking like new in no time.

Glad you found out who did it! That really sucks when you find damage on your car and no note, no culprit, nothing. But it sounds like you did your work, and hopefully you won't have to pay for any of this out of your own pocket.

Not the point, but.. This old (65 but looked well 80) guy ran into our old P5 a couple of years ago as my wife & I were going through a green light at about 35(mph), in light rain. He ran a red light at about 20-25, made a left (full visibility of us from where he was) and crunched right into our bumper. Nothing could be done to fully avoid him by that time, but I minimized the damage by slowing as much as we could, saying "Sh*t!!" the whole time.

So he hits us - of course, our music is still playing. That's the strangest part of most minor crashes, to me. Anyway, I turn off the music, note his plate number and start chanting it aloud so my wife hears it; we'll likely remember it even if he tries to run. Guess what?

F*cker tried to run! Hmm, Escort vs Protege 5, it's not like he can really get away.. I threw the car into 1st and did a quick U-turn in the middle of the interesction (that was actually a lot of fun, in the rain..) and followed him, flashing high beams at him the whole time, for an entire mile.

Took pictures of his car after he stopped, because I thought he'd drive off right when I got out. As it turns out, he was heavily medicated (poor guy) and was pretty incoherent both to me and the officer who showed up. The cop said it was clearly his fault, even though the damage was minor. I don't care, if someone hits me, the car has to be fixed. It's not like I backed up into a dumpster, or something equally stupid.

Seriously, if someone EVER hits your car, get the cops there and get them ticketed. Do it with a civil attitude, but DO NOT let them get away without a ticket if at all possible! His insurance covered the bill, all $1100 of it and our insurance never heard the incident.

Parking lot accidents suck. They are privately owned so unless alcohol is involved all the police can do is make the other person give their insurance information if you have a confession or a witness. That is the way it is in GA at least.

Yeah, I love that law.
"Officer, aren't you going to give them a ticket for obviously causing the accident?"
"Sorry, can't do that, the lot is private property of this here shopping center"
"Really, so you can't enforce the law on private, shopping center property? Well, then, I'm going to go rob the bank inside the grocery store now, since clearly, you'll be ok with that!"

It's bad law. Especially when the cops refuse to even come to the scene, and without a police report, the other guy's insurance refuses to accept that their client is to blame, the ****** says it was your fault, and your insurance ends up paying for it, and punishing you for it for the next 10 years or so. The Insurance industry is government sanctioned organized crime.

that sucks man. retaliation is a must for sure. i can't believe people just hit other peoples cars and drive off like its nothing... really glad to hear you found the culprit.
